Ryerson University Scholarships for International Students
The Ryerson Scholarship program provides scholarships to international students based on their academic achievements at the time of their application. Awards are made in two categories: entrance scholarships and research awards. The grants range from $1,000 to $20,000 annually and are provided to students at all levels of study. International students who have not completed their studies prior to coming to Canada may apply for entrance scholarships, which include up to a $5,000 tuition scholarship for full-time studies and a $2,500 partial tuition award for those enrolled in less than full-time programs. Students without financial assistance will receive an opportunity award between $2,500 and $10,000 upon admission. Research awards provide up to a maximum of $15,000 per year per student working in an affiliated field that supports the university’s research excellence.
Ryerson University Faculty of Business Scholarships
For fall and winter, if you are currently enrolled at Ryerson in a full time program in the Faculty of Business, you may be eligible for a scholarship. Please note that all applicants must meet the minimum GPA requirements stipulated on the application form.
To apply: Download and complete an application form and submit it to the Centre for Student Development & Counselling by June 30th. Students who wish to apply for both an Academic Excellence or Community Involvement scholarship need only submit one application; please indicate this on the form submitted.
Scholarships up to $1,000 are available in three categories:
- Academic Excellence Scholarships (GPA 3.5)
- Academic Merit Scholarships (GPA 3.0)
- Community Involvement Scholarships (no minimum GPA requirement).
Ryerson University Ted Rogers MBA Scholarships
Ryerson University Ted Rogers MBA Scholarships
If you’re looking to pursue a master’s degree, you could be eligible for this fully funded scholarship. The Ryerson University Ted Rogers MBA Scholarships are valued at up to $60,000 and open to all international students who apply and meet the criteria. In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must be applying for the full-time MBA program at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management. In addition, you must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience.
Ryerson University Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science Scholarships
These are scholarships that are awarded by the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science to new students entering Ryerson University in the fall semester. Applicants must be applying to an Engineering or Science program within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science.
- Four Year International Entrance Scholarships – Entrance awards are provided for international students who demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership qualities and exceptional pre-university course work. The average grade for entrance scholarship consideration is 90% or higher (or equivalent) calculated on four academic courses. These awards range in value from $1,000-$5,000 each year and are renewable depending on academic performance. Please note that you do not need to apply separately for the entrance scholarships as they will be automatically considered when you apply to Ryerson University’s engineering programs. - Provost Scholarships – These scholarships will be awarded to outstanding domestic and international students entering an undergraduate program in their first year of study at Ryerson University who have demonstrated a commitment to leadership through community service and extracurricular activities in addition to demonstrating high academic achievement in secondary school (90%+). Students must have applied by January 11th and been admitted into a program by May 1st in order to qualify for these scholarships. Ryerson University Accounting and Finance Scholarships Program
Graduate Ryerson University Accounting and Finance Scholarships Program
The Ryerson University Accounting and Finance Scholarships Program are awarded based on academic merit to students entering first year of undergraduate study in the Faculty of Management (Ted Rogers School of Management) at Ryerson. The amount of the award is $2,500 per year for a maximum four years. The number of scholarships varies from year to year.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic merit and participation in extracurricular activities.
Ryerson University President’s Scholarship of Excellence
The President’s Scholarship of Excellence recognizes high school students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academic performance, creativity and leadership. Up to 10 awards valued at $5,000 each will be granted to high school students who are entering Ryerson directly from high school.
It is important to note that if you have received any other award from the Office of the Registrar you may only accept one award per term, so recipients must choose between receiving this scholarship or another scholarship for which they have been accepted.
Eligibility requirements:
- You must be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing (minimum 80% average). You must also be enrolled in the first year of a four-year degree program (i.e., not an honours specialization degree).
- You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada).
