Scholarships University Of Memphis

Scholarships are an important source of financial aid for many students and families. Scholarships can help cover educational expenses by providing a portion of the cost of attendance. The University of Memphis provides a number of scholarships to help students fund their education.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship

The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students who have a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, spouse or same-sex domestic partner who graduated from the University of Memphis. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

C.R. Shaw Scholarship Fund

The C.R. Shaw Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program of the University of Memphis School of Education that provides financial aid awards to students who are currently enrolled in the School of Education and meet the following criteria:

  • ) Student must be an active member of the National Education Association (NEA)
  • ) Student must be a resident of Tennessee
  • ) Student must be in good academic standing

Blackburn-McNairy Endowed Scholarship in Special Education

  • The Blackburn-McNairy Endowed Scholarship in Special Education is a competitive scholarship that awards $1,000 annually.
  • This scholarship is for students studying special education in the College of Education and Human Development.
  • Applicants must be members of the National Education Association (NEA).

C. R. Smith Scholarship Fund

The C. R. Smith Scholarship Fund is for students majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences with a GPA of 3.5 or higher who have been admitted to the University of Memphis. The scholarship is awarded on an annual basis, and recipients are eligible for renewal as long as they maintain their required GPA and remain enrolled at the University.

Blackburn/Price Memorial Scholarship

Blackburn/Price Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for students with financial need who are the first in their family to attend college. It is also available to Tennessee residents pursuing a degree in business administration at the University of Memphis.

C. W. Kenney and John H. Miller Endowed Scholarships in Athletics

The C. W. Kenney and John H. Miller Endowed Scholarships in Athletics are renewable scholarships for undergraduate students who are majoring in a sport at the University of Memphis. Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be eligible for financial aid in order to receive this award each semester. Recipients must also participate in university-sponsored athletic events as required by their sport’s coaching staff and meet NCAA eligibility requirements for participation on an intercollegiate team.

Blackmon Family Endowed Scholarship

The Blackmon Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in Criminal Justice at the University of Memphis. To qualify for this scholarship, you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be a U.S. citizen and resident of Tennessee, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester, and demonstrate financial need.

Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, Indiana Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, Indiana Endowed Scholarship Fund is open to students who are residents of Floyd County, Indiana. Applicants must be enrolled in at least nine credit hours and have completed 30 semester hours at the time of application. Students must also major in business administration and be members of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).

The amount awarded varies based on academic performance and financial need.

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Scholarship in Allied Health Professions

If you are a student in the School of Allied Health Professions and in the top 15% of your class, you may be eligible to receive this scholarship. This scholarship is also open to students who are in the top 15% of their major.

To be considered for this award, you must apply by December 1st.

Cahee Family Athletic Scholarship Fund

Scholarships are not easy to come by. In fact, the average student who applies for a scholarship has only a 6% chance of receiving one. However, this does not mean that you should give up hope on scholarships altogether.

In order to receive any type of scholarship from any university or college, you must meet their criteria in order to be eligible for it. Once you have met all of their requirements and they have accepted your application, then they will begin considering whether or not they will award you with a scholarship or grant based on your academic record and other extracurricular activities as well as other factors such as financial need and community service hours completed outside school hours (if any).

As long as there is no minimum GPA requirement set by the university or college then there is nothing stopping anyone from applying!

Bluff City Chapter of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Endowed Scholarship

Being a member of the Bluff City Chapter of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) is a plus, but it is not required. The scholarship is open to accounting students who are residents of Shelby County or the surrounding counties and who will be enrolled at UofM during their senior year. To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit an essay that answers the following question:

  • Why do you want to become a CPA?

Calcutta Endowment for International Studies/New Delhi, India Campus Exchange Scholarships

  • Calcutta Endowment for International Studies/New Delhi, India Campus Exchange Scholarships

This scholarship provides tuition and living expenses for eligible students from India who wish to study in the United States, Australia or Canada.

  • The Calcutta Endowment for International Studies/New Delhi, India Campus Exchange Scholarships are open to international students of Indian origin (i.e., those born in India or whose parents were born in India). Students must have completed one year at an accredited U.S., Australian or Canadian university before they apply; they cannot transfer credits earned while attending another institution into this program.

Bogle Family Foundation Business Administration Scholarships

The Bogle Family Foundation Business Administration Scholarships are awarded to students in the business administration program. The scholarship is merit-based and requires a minimum GPA of 3.0. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time at UofM for the entire academic year and demonstrate financial need.

Cambridge Trust Company Travel Grants

Cambridge Trust Company Travel Grants are available for students in good standing who are enrolled in at least six hours of coursework.

There is a maximum of $1,000 available per student.

Students must be enrolled in a degree program at the University of Memphis and will be required to submit documentation to verify their eligibility prior to receiving payment.

University Of Memphis scholarships are not easy to come by

While scholarships are not guaranteed to be awarded, you may still apply for one. University of Memphis does not offer scholarships directly to students. Scholarships are awarded by the university and other organizations on the basis of merit, financial need and any other special circumstances.

You must meet certain eligibility requirements in order to qualify for a scholarship from an outside source or organization. The application process is generally conducted during specific times throughout the year when funds are available for distribution; however, some organizations do provide continuous funding throughout the academic year or offer scholarships that are available at any time during enrollment at UofM as long as you meet their requirements and continue meeting them each term after initial receipt of funding (i.e., maintaining a minimum GPA).
