Located in north Georgia, UNG offers a wide range of associate degrees and diplomas, bachelor’s degrees and graduate certificates. With three campuses in Dahlonega, Gainesville and Cumming, UNG provides its students with an unmatched choice of resources.

A bachelor’s degree from UNG can also open other career doors outside of nursing.

There are many other career opportunities available to those who earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing, as well. In addition to the above pathways, some of them include being a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), legal nurse consultant, clinical research nurse and more. UNG also offers pre-professional programs in medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, and pharmacy.

If you’re not sure yet whether you want to be a nurse or pursue another college major at this time, we have options for that too: nursing minors and double majors. You can complete your degree while minoring in nursing. Or if you’d like to get started on the associate degree program but are still considering your options for a major later on, that’s okay too! You can complete all or some of the lower division nursing classes without having to declare as a major so long as you’re admitted into UNG’s School of Nursing.*

UNG’s main campus is in Dahlonega, located about 45 minutes north of Atlanta.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on nearly 2,000 acres, it’s a great place to live while you go to school. You can take advantage of the hiking trails, river access and other outdoor activities.

Also, Dahlonega is known for its wineries and vineyards so if you like wine (and who doesn’t?) you are in luck!

There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in town where you can study or socialize with friends. There’s a movie theater, bowling alley and skating rink nearby. For more shopping options, we are less than an hour from both Gainesville and North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville.

They offer a quiet place to study and have similar programs, such as business, computers, nursing and engineering. There are classrooms for students as well as books and Internet access. The only differences between the campuses are their locations. Students can attend classes at all three locations if they choose to do so.

• Bachelor’s Degrees (4 years): Our bachelor’s degree programs are excellent if you want a strong foundation in nursing, or if you want to be prepared for various graduate level degrees.
• Master’s Degrees (6 years): For those who would like a more specialized education, our master’s degrees provide valuable theoretical and practical knowledge that is specific to the field of nursing.
• Specialist Degrees (8 years): Our specialist degrees are designed for students who have already earned either a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Doctoral Programs (10 years): We also offer doctoral programs for those who wish to achieve the highest possible level of education available in their field.
