The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a public research university located in Pokfulam, Hong Kong. Founded in 1911 and situated on the northern shore of the Victoria Harbour on Wong Nai Chung Gap, the university has been nicknamed The Intellectural Center of Hong Kong. HKU’s academic breadth is broad with its 11 faculties and 26 schools offering 104 undergraduate programmes, 107 masters degree programs and 102 doctoral programmes to about 30,000 undergraduates and postgraduates each year. Lingnan University is a private university in Hong Kong. It was founded in 1912 and is located at Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong. Lingnan University has more than 10,000 students studying on its campus. It also has over 100 academic staff as well as visiting professors who teach courses at the university.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) (Chinese: 香港理工大學) is a public university in Hong Kong. Established in 1963, it has over 32,000 students and 1,000 faculty members.
By its own admission, the university aims to be “Asia’s premier technological university”. Its core values of quality education and research-based study are well known locally and internationally. In 2017 it was ranked 43rd globally by Times Higher Education World University Rankings for engineering[4] and also placed among QS Top 50 Under 50 Colleges & Universities in 2018.[5]

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a public research university in Clear Water Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The Open University of Hong Kong
The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) is a public university based in Hong Kong. It is the only university in Hong Kong that offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through distance education. The current Chancellor is Professor Joseph Sung Jao-yiu, who succeeded Dr Chan Wing-kee to serve as the seventh chancellor since its establishment in 1984.
The OUHK was established by law on 29 December 1983 under the name “Open Learning Institute” and became an autonomous body on 1 May 1986 after being upgraded to a university status by virtue of an ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.[2]

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) (Chinese: 香港理工大學) is a public university in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. It was established in 1972 by the government as a technical institute and became a university in 1994.
Its engineering programs are highly ranked and its curriculum has a strong foundation in science and technology.
