Kotzen Scholarship, funded by the Simmons family of Simmons Foods, Inc., and awarded by Simmons University, provides full tuition and fees for undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree programs to students who have demonstrated leadership, exceptional academic achievement while overcoming significant personal challenges.

If so, you may be eligible for the Simmons Kotzen Scholarship. This scholarship, funded by the Simmons family of Simmons Foods, Inc., and awarded by Simmons University, provides full tuition and fees for undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree programs to students who have demonstrated leadership, exceptional academic achievement while overcoming significant personal challenges.

The eligibility criteria is as follows:

• All Students are eligible to apply

• Any college/university can apply

• Any undergraduate degree can apply as well as graduate and professional programs

Students are eligible for the scholarship during their first semester of enrollment at the University.

Eligibility for an Academic Scholarship is based on academic achievement, personal achievements, extracurricular activities and financial need. The individual awards range from $1,000 to $10,000.

Scholarships are awarded to students who show potential for leadership and community involvement as well as high academic performance. The award may be renewed annually if the student remains in good standing with a 3.0 GPA or better, demonstrates significant participation in college life, and maintains full-time status.

* Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

* Candidates must demonstrate financial need and have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Simmons.

Demonstrating financial need means that a student has a relatively low income. To be eligible to apply, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit the form to Simmons by March 1st. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or in the Office of Student Financial Services, located on the second floor of Main College Hall, Room 203.
