Slade School of Fine Art Admission Requirements
Slade School of Fine Art is a specialist art and design institution in London, England. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fine art and photography, which are linked to its research strengths in these areas.
The Slade School of Fine Art was established in 1871 as a response to the lack of training facilities for artists in London at the time. The school provided a place for students to study paintings and drawings under the guidance of a master and was based on the teaching methods employed by the old master painters.
The current head of the Slade is Professor Sir Colin Anderson who has been at his post since 1993. He is one of Britain’s leading art historians and has written several books on British art including “British Painting 1760-1880”, “British Art 1760-1851” and “British Art 1760-1910”.
Slade School of Fine Art is one of the best art schools in the UK and has been around for over 150 years. The courses offered by Slade School of Fine Art are extremely diverse and cover a wide range of subjects, from painting to sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, to drawing and animation.
