The University of Texas at Austin

The University of Texas at Austin is a public research university and the flagship institution of the University of Texas System. Located in Austin, Texas, it is the oldest institution of higher education in Texas. Its enrollment for fall 2016 was 50,214 students (including 28,867 undergraduate students and 21,447 graduate students), making UT Austin one of four state schools to be ranked among the top 10 highest-ranked universities in the nation by U.S. News & World Report (along with Rice University at number 7; Purdue University at number 8; and California Institute of Technology at number 9).

UT Austin has over 26 Nobel laureates associated with it throughout its history. The University of Texas at Dallas is a research institution with a student body of over 30,000 students. UTD offers an undergraduate degree program where students can earn their Bachelor’s degree in only three years by taking summer classes and participating in the Accelerated Plan for Excellence (APEX).

Southern Methodist University

Southern Methodist University (SMU) is a private university located in Dallas, Texas. It was founded in 1911 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and continues to be affiliated with it today. Texas Lutheran University (TLU) is a private, liberal arts university located in Seguin, Texas. TLU was founded in 1923 and has grown over the years to become one of the top ten Best Colleges in Texas according to Princeton Review’s 2019 college rankings.

The school offers more than 40 majors and minors through four academic divisions: Arts & Sciences; Business; Education; and Music/Theatre Arts. Houston Baptist University

Houston Baptist University (HBU) is a private, Christian university in Houston, Texas.

It’s low-residency MBA program offers students a unique opportunity to earn their master’s degree while living full-time at home and working part-time or full-time during the day. Students attend classes on campus once per week for three weeks at a time. The school also offers an MDiv program that allows students to study at their own pace through self-paced virtual courses and some required face-to-face classes held at HBU’s main campus in Houston every other weekend throughout the year.

Students don’t always have time to write application essays.

You may be busy, but the college admissions process doesn’t have to be. It’s not just that students are busy; they’re also quite exhausted from interacting with the multitude of demands on their time. From schoolwork and extracurricular activities to family obligations and friendships, life as a teenager can be overwhelming—and then add in work responsibilities, maybe even some volunteer work…the list goes on and on!

But there are colleges out there that won’t require you to write an essay in order to apply. So if you want to save yourself some time by applying for one of those schools? Go right ahead!
