There are a number of prestigious schools that don’t require students to write the essay portion of the SAT. This means that you’ll have more time to focus on other areas, such as your math section score and vocabulary words. Plus, if you’re not great at writing essays, this is a great opportunity for you!

University of California-Berkeley

UC Berkeley is a public research university in Berkeley, California. It was established in 1868 and serves as the flagship institution of the ten research universities affiliated with the University of California system. UC Berkeley has been consistently ranked as one of the top universities in the world and as one of the most prestigious schools in America.

UC Berkeley was also known as “the Harvard of the West” due to its reputation for academic excellence, particularly in science and engineering; it is also home to four Nobel Prize winners: economists Milton Friedman (1962) and George Akerlof (2001), chemist Melvin Calvin (1961), physicist Luis Alvarez (1968). The campus was originally designed around a quadrangle layout modeled after Oxford University’s Christ Church; this design has been preserved on many buildings throughout campus but abandoned on some newer ones constructed nearby.[23]

California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo

California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly SLO) is a public research university located in San Luis Obispo, California. It belongs to the California State University system as one of 23 campuses within it. The university offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 100 majors and master’s degrees in 20 different subjects. Its sports teams are called the Mustangs, which compete at NCAA Division I levels.

In-state tuition at Cal Poly SLO is $11,872 per year, while out-of-state tuition fees are $33,914 per year on average (as of 2017). Outstanding financial aid packages are available for qualified students who apply early enough before their start date so they can take advantage of this opportunity.

Ohio State University-Main Campus is a public research university in Columbus, Ohio. The university was founded in 1870 as a land-grant university and is the flagship university of the Ohio State University System.

Purdue University-Main Campus

Purdue University is a top-ranked public research university located in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. The university was founded in 1869 after Lafayette businessman John Purdue donated land and funds to establish a college of science, technology, and agriculture in his name.

The current president of Purdue is Mitch Daniels who assumed the office on January 1, 2013. The school currently enrolls approximately 37,000 students with an acceptance rate of 49% (2016).

Rutgers University-New Brunswick

Rutgers University is a public research university that was founded in 1766. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in New Jersey, and it’s considered one of the eight “Colonial Colleges.” With an enrollment of more than 65,000 students and over 1,000 degree programs, Rutgers University has one of the largest student bodies among all colleges and universities in the United States.

Colorado School of Mines

Colorado School of Mines is a public engineering and science university located in Golden, Colorado. It was founded in 1874 as the Colorado School of Mines to provide mining skills training in the Rocky Mountains region. Today, it’s ranked highly by U.S. News & World Report and is known for its strong focus on engineering—it’s part of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), an academic consortium working to improve understanding of Earth’s atmosphere.

The school also has a strong focus on undergraduate education: 99% of students are enrolled at this level, with more than 50% pursuing bachelor’s degrees in engineering or applied science fields such as petroleum engineering or materials science technology; many others study geology, chemistry or computer science at the undergraduate level too!

Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus

Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus is a public research university located in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Tech is known for its highly-ranked engineering programs, and consistently ranks as one of the best schools in the nation. The school was founded in 1885, and today has over 10,000 undergraduates enrolled along with over 6,000 graduate students.

Georgia Tech’s admissions requirements include SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA—but no essay! This makes it easy for students who aren’t comfortable writing essays to still be considered for admission at this prestigious university.

UD’s SAT policy is pretty clear-cut—they don’t require any SAT scores at all. If you’re a low income student, you can have your application fee waived and will be considered for an academic scholarship regardless of your test scores.

UD’s ACT policy is similarly straightforward: they don’t require ACTs either. The same goes for GPA requirements: no minimum GPA required! UD will also consider applicants with upward mobility or those who’ve overcome challenges in their life that might otherwise inhibit their chances at attending college.

The University of Delaware has rolling admissions deadlines, so there’s no one set deadline date; they’ll accept applications as long as they’re received by the appropriate deadline (which can vary by major).

Clemson University
