The University of the Philippines is a public university system in the Philippines. The flagship campus, UP Diliman, is located in Quezon City. It is the largest constituent university of the University of the Philippines System. UP Diliman offers education for undergraduate and graduate students through its 16 colleges, including fine arts and social sciences; natural sciences; engineering, mathematics and computer science; liberal arts, education and humanities; business economics administration; theology and philosophy; law etc. In addition to its main campus at Diliman, it has branches in five other locations: UP Baguio (Benguet Campus), UP Cebu (Cebu City South Campus), UP Los Baños (Los Baños Laguna), UP Manila (Manila East College) and UP Visayas Tacloban College (Tacloban Leyte).

The University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman or UPD) is a coeducational and public research university located in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. Established on February 12, 1949 as the flagship campus of the University of the Philippines System, it is known for its competitive college admission tests (UPCAT), highly selective admission process and academic excellence.
The university’s main campus covers approximately 413 hectares (1,063 acres), bounded by Katipunan Avenue to the north; Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Road to the south; Agham Road on east side and Tandang Sora Avenue on west side. The University of the Philippine System has 7 constituent universities: UPD -the largest constituent university in UP system with more than 100 colleges and schools offering various bachelor’s degrees; UP Manila – largest academic library in Asia & 2nd largest academic library in CAR region; UP Visayas – founded in 1959 as College of Arts & Sciences with only 200 students which now has 23 colleges & schools offering various undergraduate courses; UP Baguio – established in 1910 as Philippine Normal School before becoming a regular college since 1978 offering Bachelor’s Degree Programmes; UP Cebu -established from 1918 until 1921 when it became an independent state school under its name “Cebu Normal Institute” offering elementary level education programs such as Kindergarten through Grade 6 while Grade 1-2 were offered only at night shift classes after normal working hours such as 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday so that teachers could still teach at another school during day time hours like 7AM-3PM Monday through Friday if they wanted but they won’t be paid extra money because their salary would increase if they teach both day shift [7AM-2PM]and evening shift [4PM-10 PM], later became an independent state college named Cebu Normal College that offers bachelor’s degree programs since 2005 along with postgraduate courses leading towards master

University of the Philippines Manila, or simply UPM, is a state university located in Ermita, Manila. It is the flagship and largest campus of the University of the Philippines System.
The university consists of 13 constituent universities and colleges and one basic education school located in 15 campuses across Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The first constituent college was established in 1907 by an act of the First Philippine Legislature with Calle Santo Tomas College (now known as Colegio de San Juan de Letran) as its first member. University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) is a premier public research university located in the province of Laguna, Philippines. It was established on February 26, 1964 through Republic Act No. 4196 with an initial budget of Php 1 million. The university was named after its location: Los Baños, Laguna.
UPLB has 23 colleges and one institute offering different degree programs from bachelor’s degrees to doctorate degrees at both undergraduate and graduate levels.[1] It is ranked as one of the top 3 universities of the Philippines according to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) data.[2] UPLB is also one of two major campuses for plant breeding and genetics research in Southeast Asia.[3][4]

- University of the Philippines Cebu (UPC) is a public research university in the Philippines. It is one of the few autonomous universities in the country and has been granted full autonomy by CHED on May 18, 2016.
- It was formerly known as University of Southern Philippines – Visayas (USP-V) until it was renamed to its current name on October 1st, 2001. University of the Philippines Baguio
The University of the Philippines Baguio (Filipino: Pamantasan ng Pilipinas – Bukidnon; Cebuano: Pamantasan ng Pilipinas – Bukidnon) is a public research university in Baguio City. It is the flagship campus of the University of the Philippines system, and it is widely regarded as the top higher education institution in Northern Luzon and one of the best universities in Asia.[1][2] The university offers programs in liberal arts, business administration, education, engineering and technology, forestry science. It has been bestowed with numerous awards like Best Public High School for four consecutive years by DepEd[3], Best Private School for eight consecutive years by DepEd,[4] Top 100 Hospitals Nationwide Awardee for six consecutive years[5]. The Philippine Eagle Center under UPD-B has also won many awards including two Guinness World Records.[6] It was also awarded “University of Excellence” by CHED.[7]

University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College
University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College is a state university and a public university, non-sectarian and co-educational.
The college was established on January 23, 2001 by Republic Act No. 8484, or as it is commonly known as “An act establishing the University of the Philippines in Tacloban City.” It was then called UPLB Tacloban Campus until July 18, 2002 when it was renamed UPVTC to be identified with its regional identity for being situated in Eastern Visayas region.
Ateneo de Manila University
Ateneo de Manila University is a private research university in Quezon City, Philippines. Founded on August 28, 1941 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), Ateneo offers primary and secondary education as well as higher education. The university consists of 14 colleges, including a business school for undergraduates and graduates; all constituent colleges except for the School of Law are run independently from one another with their own administrations, budgets and academic programs.

- De La Salle University – Manila (DLSU) is the most expensive university in the Philippines, with a tuition fee of P 210,000 per semester.
- It is also the largest Catholic university in Asia and has the largest student population in The Philippines.
- DLSU was first school in Asia to offer BS Psychology degree back in 1934; it was also first to introduce a Bachelor of Science Nursing Program (BSN) in 1938.
De La Salle College of Saint Benilde
De La Salle College of Saint Benilde (DLSU-SB) is a private university in Manila, Philippines. It is owned and operated by the De La Salle Brothers, an order of teachers founded by St. Jean-Baptiste de la Salle. The school was established in 1902 as De La Salle College by Brother Bernard Rixford, FSC and other lay men who were interested in providing quality education to boys from Manila’s outlying provinces at that time.
The “Education for All” initiative propelled the growth of several colleges across Metro Manila during the 1990s. Established on April 28, 1611 by the Society of Jesus, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) is a Catholic research university located in Manila. It is the oldest existing university in Asia and the largest Catholic university in the world. The main campus of UST is located at Campanario de Manila St., Sampaloc District of Manila City with more than 150 hectares (370 acres) area where several buildings stand side by side and linked together by walkways or covered ways.
