The Trustee Scholarship is Boston University’s most prestigious merit-based award for incoming students. Each year, approximately 30 entering first-year students are selected as Trustee Scholars based on their outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments and potential.

If you would like to be considered for the Trustee Scholarship, complete the Trustee Scholarship application in addition to your Common or Coalition Application to Boston University.

Eligibility for the 2021 class will be based on the student’s academic accomplishments and test scores as of December 31, 2020.

The Trustee Scholarship is Boston University’s most prestigious merit-based award for incoming students. This four-year scholarship is awarded to a select group of high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership abilities. A Trustee Scholar must maintain the highest standards of scholarship, leadership, and service throughout her or his undergraduate career at Boston University. The Trustee Scholarship is renewable for four years of undergraduate study.

There is no separate application necessary for Trustee Scholarships, which are awarded to exceptional students when they are admitted to BU.

All admitted students are automatically considered for a Trustee Scholarship when they apply for admission to Boston University by the January 1 deadline.

Winners of the Boston University Trustee Scholarship will be announced soon! This full-tuition scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who have excelled in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. These students will be notified of their awards if they are admitted to BU.
