About Anadolu University

Anadolu University is a state university located in Eskisehir, Turkey and founded by the government in 1982 to provide students with the chance to gain an education on a variety of subjects including medicine, fine arts and engineering. With over 450 student clubs and societies, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved socially and academically at this university. At present, it has over 100 faculties, schools and institutes spread across 18 campuses around Anatolia (the Asian part of Turkey). Currently there are over 250 thousand students enrolled at the university – nearly 5000 of them being international students from 80 countries studying alongside Turkish natives! This means that you’ll be able to easily make friends from all around the world. Anadolu also offers Turkish language courses for international students who don’t speak it as their native language yet want to learn so they can better integrate themselves into the community here. The main campus is located in Eskişehir City Center and includes such facilities as a library (with 2 million books!), 2000-seat auditorium, press center, radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day, TV channel broadcasting 20 hours per day plus sports facilities such as an Olympic swimming pool with 2000 seats in the bleachers!

Bilkent University

Bilkent University is a private research university located in Ankara, Turkey. Founded in 1984 with a generous endowment by the Turkish industrialist and philanthropist İhsan Doğramacı in the name of his late son, Bilkent University is the first private university of Turkey. It has two campuses, one of which is near the city center, and a second one—the Bilkent Laboratory and International School (BLIS)—in the north-east corner of Ankara. It also has 6 dormitories – 2 for male students and 4 for female students. The current president is Prof. Abdullah Atalar.
