The University of Arizona is a public research university that was established in 1885. The university has two campuses, one located in Tucson and the other in South Tucson.
The University of Arizona offers over 300 undergraduate degree programs, which include liberal arts and sciences, business majors as well as design-oriented programs such as architecture and landscape architecture. With more than 43,000 students enrolled at the school, UA offers an abundant range of undergraduate majors including natural sciences and engineering disciplines such as aerospace engineering, chemical engineering or electrical engineering; humanities like English language & literature or communication studies; mathematics disciplines such as actuarial science or statistics; social sciences like anthropology or sociology; and health professions like pre-medicine or pre-dentistry. Students at the school can also choose from a wide variety of professional degrees including law degrees like JD/MBA program; optometry degrees like OD/PhD program or physician assistant program with either PhD track or MSW track; pharmacy degrees like PharmD program; veterinary medicine degrees like DVM/PhD program (some schools), DVM/MSW program (others) or DVM/MPH program (still others); osteopathic medicine degrees like DO/PhD program (some schools) DO/MPH program (others); dentistry degrees such as DDS/PhD program (several schools) DDS/#MSW
Once you’ve confirmed that you have the necessary prerequisites, you can apply to the program.

While it’s important to apply early, it’s also important to be aware of your application status and make sure everything is submitted on time. For this reason, we recommend that applicants submit their applications no later than April 15th so they have enough time in case there are any delays or problems with submission.
Completion of prerequisite coursework.
Prerequisite coursework must have been completed with a grade of “C” or higher. If you are currently enrolled in classes at an accredited community college, four-year university, or junior college and have not yet begun your degree program, all prerequisite courses must be completed by the end of the semester before you apply for admission to UofA. Once you apply for admission and are accepted into one of our programs, please make sure that all of your prerequisite courses have been successfully completed prior to your start date. You will only be able to register for classes if you meet the requirements listed above!

- University of Arizona Admissions Services Office, P.O. Box 210011, Tucson, AZ 85721-0011. The envelope must include your name and Social Security Number printed in large font on the upper left corner of the envelope, or it will not be processed.
TOEFL scores if applicable (minimum 100).
TOEFL scores are required and must be submitted directly from ETS to UA (institution code 4832) (Minimum scores required: V 151, Q 152, AW 3.0). Scores are valid for 5 years after the testing date and must be dated within 5 years of being submitted for acceptance into the University.

A personal statement (recommended length = 1 page maximum) that describes your academic goals and objectives in pursuing graduate education as well as how your experiences have prepared you for graduate studies.
Please note that the personal statement is not a place to repeat your resume. Instead, it should be an opportunity to discuss why you have chosen a particular program or school and what you hope to achieve with your graduate education. You should also use this space to explain how your experiences have prepared you for graduate studies as well as why you are interested in attending our University.
Personal statements should be no longer than one page maximum (12 pt font). It is recommended that applicants spend time revising their personal statements before submitting their application; however, we will accept applications without revisions if they are submitted by the stated deadline.

All writing samples should be submitted in the same format as other application materials and in a style consistent with the personal statement and resume you submit with this application.
University of Arizona has a very good deadline policy
Application deadlines are the first step in becoming a student at University of Arizona. By applying on time, you give yourself the best chance of being accepted into your program of choice and starting classes on time.
The next application deadline is April 1 for fall semester and spring semester. The last application deadline is June 1 for summer sessions.
