What Is Transit And Parking?

What is transit and parking?

The Transit and Parking Pass is a transportation benefit offered to eligible employees and dependents of the University of Arkansas. The pass allows employees to utilize the campus buses on campus. To use this service, you must purchase both a transit pass and your parking permit for the semester.

What Are The Benefits Of Transit And Parking?

You may be tempted to drive your own vehicle, but there are several benefits for using the University of Arkansas transit and parking services.

  • Save time: Whether you’re rushing from class to work or just trying to get home after a long day, the last thing you want is to waste precious minutes looking for a spot on campus. The less time spent hunting down parking spaces, the more time you have left over to do what really matters: study and play!
  • Save money: Parking fees can add up quickly—and not just because they’re expensive! If you’re late paying off a ticket or have an expired meter, it could cost even more money in fines than if you paid for a pass in advance (and saved yourself some stress).
  • Save the environment: According to statistics from the Environmental Protection Agency*, Americans emit 2 million tons of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere every year because we choose not to use public transportation when possible. By taking advantage of these programs at UofA, we all help make our planet healthier while saving ourselves some cash along the way.
