The San Francisco program will offer bachelor’s degrees in biological sciences or biochemistry, as well as master’s degrees in bioengineering; bioinformatics; cell and molecular biology; chemistry; genetics and genomics; medicine (MD); molecular virology; pharmaceutical science and technology; public health sciences (MPH); systems biology.

The school’s new 100-bed dormitory would be located on Parnassus Ave., on a site currently occupied by parking lots and surface parking structures that span five city blocks between Parnassus Ave., Mt Sutro Ave., Irving St., Ulloa St., and Golden Gate Park Drive near Lake Merced Boulevard (click here for a map). As part of this project, UCSF also plans to build an underground garage with 2,400 new parking spaces – adding many more spots than exist now at all six existing university housing locations combined (1,600 spots).
