The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine graduated its first class in 1980; this event was marked by the founding of a UF Foundation Scholarship that has helped hundreds of deserving second year students carry on their studies despite severe financial hardships
This scholarship provides $1,000 to second year students who have financial need. It is awarded based on the applicant’s academic record, extracurricular activities and other considerations. Students may reapply for this scholarship during their junior year, but they will not be considered if they have already received the award in their sophomore year.
