University Of Maryland Medical School Requirements
The University of Maryland School of Medicine has a number of requirements for students interested in applying. The most important step is to start preparing early and research the schools you are interested in attending.
In order to be considered for admission, applicants must have:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of the MCAT with a minimum score of 24.
A GPA of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Adequate math and verbal skills as measured by MCAT scores.

Requirements for Admission to UMD School of Medicine

In order to be considered for admission to the University of Maryland School of Medicine, you must meet the following requirements:
Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada
Have earned a bachelor’s degree by the time you enroll in medical school
Have at least three years of full-time work or volunteer experience in medicine or another healthcare profession
Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on your last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours (or equivalent) of college coursework
Have scored at least 124 on the MCAT (Step 1) exam taken during 2015 or later
