University Of Md School Of Social Work

School of Medicine
The School of Medicine is a public medical school located in Baltimore, Maryland. It was founded in 1807 as the Baltimore Medical Institute and is currently part of the University of Maryland (UM) system, which includes 12 other campuses across Maryland and one more in Washington, DC.
The School of Medicine offers an MD degree that requires four years for completion by students who enter with no previous science background. The curriculum includes basic science courses such as biochemistry, genetics, anatomy and physiology; clinical sciences such as pathology and pharmacology; social sciences like psychology; geriatrics; pediatrics; community health sciences including public health nursing practice skills training; family medicine or internal medicine residency program rotations during third year clerkships requiring various amounts depending on specialty choice made at time application (see below for details); psychiatry rotations during fourth year clerkships
School of Law

School of Nursing
If you are interested in a career as a nurse, the School of Nursing offers several programs for students to choose from. The Master of Science in Nursing program is offered at both our Baltimore and Columbia campuses. Students have the option to specialize in one of seven areas: acute care, community health, critical care, family practice/nurse practitioner, gerontology/geriatric nursing, leadership development and management (LDM), or neonatal pediatrics.
The school also offers a Doctor of Philosophy degree for individuals who wish to pursue research careers within the field of nursing science. Additionally, there is an emphasis on interdisciplinary work with other university schools within UMCP including Social Work and Medicine & Health Services Administration (MHSAs). The school also has two research centers that allow students to gain knowledge while they study: Center for Innovation in Quality Improvement through Learning Technologies (CIQLT) and Center for Advanced Practice Nursing Research (CAPNR).

The College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences is home to the Department of Computer Science. This department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science and related fields.
The College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences is located on campus and is part of the University System of Maryland (USM). A. James Clark School of Engineering
The A. James Clark School of Engineering is named after the late James Clark, who left his fortune to support the development of engineering education at UMD. The school has teams that compete in robotics competitions and was one of the first colleges in Maryland to provide an undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering.
The school is located on the campus at College Park and offers a wide range of degree programs from applied mathematics to physics and computer science. The Philip Merrill College of Journalism is the journalism school at the University of Maryland, College Park. It was founded in 1920 and named after former publisher Philip Merrill. It is one of the oldest and largest journalism schools in the nation.
Academy for Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The Academy for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (AIE) offers students a platform to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation from experienced practitioners, scholars, and staff. The academy offers a range of courses that cover the entire field of entrepreneurship, including both theory and practice. There are also extracurricular activities available through AIE, such as student-run startups or workshops that teach participants how to pitch ideas for funding.
