Players to Watch
There are a few players to watch this season at the University of Nebraska at Omaha baseball team. Led by first-year head coach Tim Tadlock, the Mavericks look to rebound from a disappointing 2017 season.
One player to keep an eye on is first baseman/designated hitter Alex Bianchi. A four-time all-conference selection during his time at Creighton, Bianchi has shown he can hit in college and is expected to take over as UMNO’s top offensive option this season.
Also expected to make an impact is catcher/outfielder Thomas Lawrence. A two-time all-conference selection during his time at Wichita State, Lawrence brings plenty of experience and speed to the catching position for UMNO.
Last but not least, third baseman/shortstop Will Spradlin will be a key contributor for Tadlock’s squad this season. The College of Charleston product finished third in the country in hits last year, and should continue to provide solid offense for UMNO as they look to make some noise in the Big 12 Conference.
