The University of North Texas at Arlington is a partnership between the UNT Health Science Center and UTA. The UNTHSC is a public health science center in Fort Worth, Texas.

It supports collaboration, interprofessional education and research between the health science center and UTA.

The UNT Health Science Center and the University of Texas at Arlington collaborate in several ways. The partnership supports interprofessional education, research and clinical practice.

For example, UNTHSC sponsors an annual lecture series that brings major leaders in healthcare to UTA’s campus. This allows students and faculty at both institutions opportunities to interact with these important figures in the field. In addition, it provides an opportunity for students at both schools to see how similar issues are approached within their respective disciplines.

This collaboration also extends into research efforts: Both organizations have dedicated centers within their colleges dedicated specifically towards incubating new ideas that can be shared across universities both locally (UNTHSC) as well as nationally (UTA). These centers provide resources such as funding for projects ranging from $5K all the way up through $100K over multiple years depending on need; access to equipment; training workshops on best practices in grant writing; access “state of the art” facilities such as high performance computing clusters/labs/analytical equipment; etcetera…
