The University of Oslo has a proud history of providing a welcoming environment to international students. We believe that every student should be given the opportunity to experience the benefits of higher education, and we’re committed to making sure that happens by offering free tuition to our students.

Our goal is to keep education accessible. That’s why you’ll only be charged a small semester fee of NOK 860 (USD $100) during your time at UO. All other living expenses will have to be covered by you or a benefactor. If this proves to be difficult, you can opt into our work-study program, in which you can work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week on holidays.

To participate in the work-study program, you need to be enrolled as a full-time student at UO and have acquired all necessary permits from Norwegian authorities.
