The City Cat ferry terminal is located on campus. St Lucia also has its own bus terminal and stops for every regular bus service across Brisbane.

The university offers accommodation facilities to students who wish to live on-campus during their studies at UQ – Campbell House (Student Village) offers self-catered accommodation for up to 70 residents per village; Menzies House is a purpose-built men’s residence with en suite rooms for 180 residents; the Women’s Residence accommodates 120 female residents per year; Monteith Hall houses 96 male residents aged between 18 and 24 years old on an eight week contract during their first year at university – all of these residences are catered by Sodexo Management Pty Ltd.
