1 University of South Florida Scholarship for Undergraduate

The University of South Florida Scholarship for Undergraduate is a scholarship offered to students from the state of Texas, who have a GPA of 3.0 and are accepted or enrolled at USF. This scholarship is offered by both the University of South Florida and its partner schools, which include:

  • Austin Community College
  • Brazosport College
  • Central Texas College
  • Collin County Community College District (CCCD)
  • Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD)

2 Know Before You Apply

There are several important things to keep in mind before you apply. First, you must be a current student at University of South Florida and have graduated from a high school in Texas. Second, your cumulative GPA should be no less than 3.0. Finally, you must be accepted or enrolled at University of South Florida for the upcoming fall semester (fall 2019).

3 Applicants must be USF students.

USF students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (3 classes) for the fall semester and/or 2 credit hours (1 class) for the spring semester.

4 Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Texas and have been accepted or are enrolled at USF.

To qualify for the USF Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a graduate of a high school in Texas.
  • Be accepted or enrolled at USF as an undergraduate student. You may also apply during your first semester if you’re transferring from another university.
  • Have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all previous college coursework taken before admission to college or university level work.*

5 Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

The GPA is calculated on a 4.0 scale and based on your most recently completed 30 semester hours or equivalent for transfer students whose first enrolling institution had a quarter system, or 30 quarter hours for students who attended an institution in which their first enrolled term was conducted on a quarter system. The GPA requirement cannot be waived under any circumstances regardless of whether you apply as an entering freshman or transfer student, whether you are seeking admission through special admissions processes such as the Early Admission Program (EAP), Early Decision Program (EDP), or as a non-degree seeking student.
