The University of Texas at Southwestern is a private medical school located in Dallas, Texas. It was founded in 1903 as the Southwestern Medical School of Dallas by a group of local physicians, led by Dr. Samuel Ealy Johnson Sr., and incorporated as The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1915. UT Southwestern has an annual enrollment of approximately 1,000 students who begin their studies at either the M.D., Ph.D, MSTP or MD/MBA programs each fall semester.

UT Southwestern Medical Center Laboratory for Molecular Biology and Genetics is a research lab that focuses on the fields of molecular biology, genetics, and structural biology. The laboratory is located in the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development on the campus of UT Southwestern.
The laboratory’s research focuses on cancer, developmental biology (the study of how organisms develop from zygote to adult), and aging research. The lab partners with departments such as pediatrics, neurology/neurosurgery and medicine to conduct research in these areas.

UT Southwestern Moncrief Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer centers in the United States and a leader in the fight against cancer. With an experienced staff of nearly 100 physicians and researchers, UT Southwestern provides advanced care for people with all types of malignancies.
UT Southwestern’s Moncrief Cancer Institute includes:
