The MBA at the McCombs School of Business

If you want to pursue the best MBA program in the world, then look no further than the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. You’ll enjoy a two-year course that allows you to finish your degree on your own time and schedule. Plus, with an MBA from McCombs, you’ll be able to apply for entry-level positions right after graduation without the need for a masters internship or residency.

If you are looking for more flexibility with your studies, there are other options available as well:

• Full-time programs run Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm (or 7am – 5pm).
• Part-time programs run throughout most days but may require weekend classes depending on what level of coursework is needed each week (for example; Mondays through Fridays from 9am – 5pm).
• Weekend programs are offered once per month during the day on Saturdays and Sundays (for example; Saturday mornings from 8:30 am – 1 pm).

MS in Accounting at McCombs

The MS in Accounting (MSA) at McCombs offers one-year, part-time study that provides a comprehensive overview of the field of accounting. The program covers a range of topics including financial reporting, auditing and taxation.

MSAs are prepared for careers in public accounting, tax consulting firms or business management positions where they can use their technical expertise to make sound financial decisions for companies.

The MSA curriculum focuses on developing students’ critical thinking skills while providing a strong foundation in accounting theory and practice. It also equips students with specific courses designed to help them understand how information is used by different stakeholders such as investors, creditors and regulators.

MPAff in Public Affairs at the LBJ School of Public Affairs

The MPAff program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to be effective leaders in public service and nonprofit organizations. This one-year program provides training in policy analysis, management, leadership, research methods and statistics. The LBJ School of Public Affairs also offers several certificate programs that can be completed as a stand-alone credential or complement an existing MPAff degree for students who want to specialize in areas such as health policy, housing finance or education policy. Students interested in completing the MPAff degree without taking advantage of the certificate options should note that each graduate must complete at least 27 hours of coursework beyond their original major requirements; however, those who opt for one of these specialized certificates will only need 18 hours beyond their original major requirements (9 core classes + 9 electives).

MAS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the LBJ School of Public Affairs

The MAS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy is a program that is designed to prepare students for careers in the public and nonprofit sectors. Students learn how to use computational methods and tools to analyze social, economic, health, environmental, political and other issues that affect society at large. They will also become familiar with techniques for designing policies that address local or global problems such as poverty reduction or climate change mitigation while considering both human needs and cost effectiveness. The goal of this degree program is two-fold: it aims not only at developing generalizable skills but also at creating an interdisciplinary network of scholars who share interests in applying these skills across various subject areas or disciplines.

This degree program combines core courses related to theory with elective courses on specific topics such as international development policymaking; global health policymaking; urban crime prevention; statistics for social science research; quantitative methods for public decision making (QMPDM); microeconomics of labor markets; macroeconomics; game theory.; international comparative politics.; American politics.; international relations theory & history;; data analysis using R programming language;; critical race theory;; feminist theories;; applied ethics;; legal reasoning & argumentation;; political philosophy;; empirical research design strategies & techniques ;; qualitative research methods ;; survey methodology ;; statistical analysis using Stata software

MPP in Public Policy at the LBJ School of Public Affairs

The two-year Master of Public Policy program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs is a collaborative effort between four departments: Department of Government, Department of Economics, Department of Statistics, and the Blanton Center for Digital Scholarship. You will develop specialized skills in policy analysis and management by taking courses in each department across two years.

The MPP curriculum gives you an opportunity to immerse yourself in public policy topics like economics, statistics and research methods—and also give you hands-on experience through internships with government agencies or nonprofits (funded by The LBJ School). In addition to their stringent academic requirements, students must complete a capstone requirement where they complete a final project or thesis that assesses current issues facing Texas communities.

M. Arch. in Architecture at The School of Architecture

The School of Architecture’s Master of Architecture degree program is an intensive, two-year professional degree designed to prepare students for a career in the design and construction industry. Students learn to understand the context within which buildings are created, as well as the needs and desires expressed by clients, users and communities. The curriculum explores contemporary issues related to architecture while providing hands-on experience in design studios and research labs.

The application deadline is December 1st each year for fall admission; applications received after this date will be considered for spring admission only if space is available.

MFA in Studio Art at The College of Fine Arts

The MFA in Studio Art at The College of Fine Arts is an interdisciplinary program that offers students flexibility and choice. Students can choose from a wide range of courses, specializations, concentrations, tracks and other unique opportunities.

Areas of study include:

• Design (fashion design and textile)
• Interdisciplinary studies (sculpture, painting/drawing)
• Painting/Drawing (painting/drawing)

Students will be able to select from a number of specialized tracks including:

• Design – Fashion Design & Textiles (BFA only)
• Painting & Drawing Specialization – Painting & Drawing Track A
• Sculpture Specialization – Sculpture Track A

MA/MFA in Film and Media Production at The College of Fine Arts

The University of Texas at Austin’s MFA and MA programs are designed to provide a high quality education. Many students who wish to study film and media production have the option of choosing the School of Undergraduate Studies or the College of Fine Arts.
