The University of the Cumberlands is a private, non-profit Christian liberal arts university located in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The school was founded in 1890 on the site of what had previously been Camp Todd, named after General William “Blue Jeans” Logan, who commanded Union forces during the Bluegrass Campaigns of 1862 and 1864. The name was later changed to Logan College and relocated to Carlisle before moving again to its current location in Cumberland County in 1950.
