Civil engineering students learn how to solve problems using math skills such as calculus or physics along with knowledge in civil design principles such as structural analysis or project management methods such as scheduling plans. The bachelor’s degree program in this field requires 120 credits (typically 4 years).

The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics (A&A) is one of the largest engineering departments in the country. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. The program covers a broad range of topics, including analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, communication theory, control systems, and computer engineering.
