The application process is rigorous, with a minimum GPA requirement of 3.2 or higher and SAT or ACT scores in the top 25 percent of all students.
Depending on your chosen major, you’ll need to complete between 30 and 42 credits before you graduate.

Admissions
- Apply for undergraduate or graduate admission.
- Submit an application fee of $75.00 (USD).
- If you are applying to the School of Nursing, submit an additional fee of $100.00 (USD).
- Applications must be submitted by December 1st, 2018 for fall semester start dates; February 1st, 2019 for spring semester start dates; June 15th, 2019 for summer session I courses; and August 15th, 2019 for summer session II courses. You may apply after these dates but will not be considered until January 8th of the following year if you apply after September 1st and April 2nd if you apply after January 14th (for fall semester) or June 5th (for spring semester), respectively.* Application submission deadline is February 1st at 5 p.m., central time zone..

The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee is a public research university located on the eastern shoreline of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was founded in 1956 as a state-supported liberal arts college and became a four-year doctoral level public research university in 2006. The university offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and 70 master’s degree programs to over 28,000 students.[5] Its academic areas include business administration, engineering, social work, medicine and nursing. It contains 24 libraries with holdings of over 6 million volumes.[6] The campus consists of 100 buildings on 274 acres (111 ha) near Downtown Milwaukee within walking distance to museums including Lakefront Festival Park, the War Memorial Center with its tall observation tower commemorating World War II veterans from Wisconsin who served in that conflict;[7] as well as several other attractions such as Miller Park baseball stadium home field for Milwaukee Brewers professional teams.[8]

The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is committed to helping students with financial need. Financial aid is available to students who demonstrate financial need. Financial aid can come in the form of scholarships or grants that do not need to be repaid, as well as student loans that must be repaid after graduation. Many universities also offer work study programs, which allow students to earn money while they are enrolled in school.
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year in order to receive federal, state and institutional aid from UW-Milwaukee. Financial support varies depending on individual circumstances; however, most full-time undergraduate students will receive some type of financial assistance during their time at UW-Milwaukee.
