The USC University Scholarship is designed to support students who are not traditional, full-time students. They must be enrolled in at least one course per term (fall and spring semesters) as a non-traditional student. Non-traditional students include:

  • Seniors in high school who have been admitted to the university but will not begin classes until the following fall
  • Full-time employees of the university or its affiliates, including their dependents and spouses, who enroll at USC as part of their employment benefits package
  • Individuals who are not US citizens or permanent residents

The University of Southern California (USC) offers the USC University Scholarship to full-time students enrolled at the university. This scholarship is available to non-traditional students who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, and it awards a minimum of $3,000 per year. You must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to enroll as a full-time student in one of USC’s eligible degree programs.

The USC University Scholarship benefits students who don’t fit the mold of the traditional student.

The USC University Scholarship is a program that awards up to $5,000 per year to students who don’t fit the mold of the traditional student. The scholarship is open to all students who have attended an accredited high school for at least four years and have been accepted into a USC undergraduate program. Students must also be registered with SIRS (Scholarship Information Reporting Service) and meet one of three requirements: be first-generation college-bound; have experienced financial hardship; or have been incarcerated in juvenile detention facilities or adult correctional facilities.

The deadline for submission is April 1st every year. There are multiple awards available with varying amounts from $1,500-$5,000 each year; however, each award has its own set of requirements including GPA requirements, essay length and format guidelines as well as extenuating circumstances that may allow applicants to apply even if they do not meet all eligibility requirements listed above. Students can apply online through their Student Center by clicking on “My Scholarships” which will take them directly to the application page where they will log in using their myUSC username/password combination as well as provide answers for questions asked about themselves including race/ethnicity information (optional) once logged in click on “Apply Now” button located at top right corner
