The University of the Philippines College of Veterinary Medicine, located in Davao City, is the newest and only veterinary school in the Philippines. It was established in 2009 when UP, through its Office of the President, acquired a 25-hectare lot from the government.
The construction of the UPCVM building was completed in 2012. Its first class graduated in 2016.
The school is currently headed by Dr. Arsenio M. Bolivar III as dean and Dr. Danilo R. Ting as vice dean for academic affairs, who were appointed to their respective positions in November 2017 following Drs. Rhonnel C. Rivera and Eduardo Pabillo’s retirement from service on October 1, 2017 after serving for more than 20 years each at UPCVM as vice dean for academic affairs and dean respectively since its establishment in 2009 until their retirement on October 1, 2017 after serving for more than 20 years each at UPCVM as vice dean for academic affairs and dean respectively since its establishment (in July 29) until their retirement on October 1st).

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Institute (CVMVI) is a veterinary school located in Davao City, Philippines. It is the only veterinary school in the country that is accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).
History
The college was established in 1948 by Dr. Antonio G. Tuazon, Sr., a well-known veterinarian who later became its first president.
Courses Offered
The CVMVI offers five-year undergraduate programs leading to the degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM). In addition, there are two-year master’s degree programs in animal science and animal nutrition.
