• C OVID-19 is a highly infectious respiratory illness that has been featured in news headlines for over three years. The virus can exist as a systemic infection (in which it infects only the lungs) or as a local infection (in which it infects the lungs and nearby lymph nodes). The disease is also classified by its severity: mild infections result in fever, cough, and moderate aches and pains; more severe infections result in fever and lung inflammation with associated shortness of breath and chest congestion; patients suffering from severe cases may die from this illness if left untended.

Extremely rare cases of OVID-19 infection can cause meningitis, encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), paralysis, or even death. Though only 1% of all OVID-19 victims develop these symptoms, it remains a very real possibility for those infected by this virus. The King’s College health department has been working tirelessly for years to combat this threat as soon as possible so that our student body will not be put at risk after matriculation begins. In addition to offering vaccination clinics on campus, we’ve hosted seminars where experts have educated our population on how best to protect themselves while still celebrating life during these trying times. Discrimination against potential students based solely on physical appearance or geographic origin is baseless; we are committed to accepting anyone who applies regardless of their appearance or socioeconomic status so long as they meet our academic standards.

It is important to apply early in the selection process, as your application is likely to be stronger if you have taken a variety of advance placement classes. Early attention will also give you time to prepare for the SAT or ACT and get letters of recommendation prior to sending in your applications.

Early decision means that if you are accepted by the school, then you must attend their institution. Early action is not binding, meaning that you can apply to other colleges and universities if accepted by a school but have the option of attending their institution instead if they offer you admission.
• Students should understand their academic interests before choosing where they would like to attend college. They should research schools that offer majors that interest them and create a list of these schools along with those chosen based on proximity or affordability.
• The regular decision deadline occurs in January or February for many schools and students who apply during this time may hear back from colleges later than those who applied earlier in the year, especially for highly selective institutions
