Introduction

Hello, my name is Farhad and I am the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Yazd University. Today, I have the pleasure of introducing our speaker, Mr. Shahabuddin Farzadfar. He graduated with his PhD from Sharif University of Technology in 2012 and then joined the faculty at Kermanshah University as an assistant professor in 2014. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, and pattern recognition. In recognition of his outstanding performance as a young researcher and lecturer, he was chosen to receive a two-year postdoctoral fellowship from the Iranian National Elites Foundation in 2017, where he worked on projects related to machine learning for medical applications during his fellowship period. In 2019 he received a one-year visiting scholar position from Yazd University to work on classification problems related to hyperspectral images. His recent publications include works related to deep learning approaches for texture recognition and segmentation techniques applied on hyperspectral images. Background to the Organization:

The Organization for the Development of Human Resources in the Province of Yazd was established in 1391 to implement the plans of the Provincial Human Resources Development Council. The main goal is to train, develop and empower human resources at provincial and rural levels.

Achievement:

• Mobilizing more human resources with higher motivation and creating a platform for employment opportunities
• Applying appropriate methods of human resource development to improve performance in all areas
• Expanding planning thinking by providing integrated services

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process:

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in the field of study in which they want to pursue their studies.

Candidates must be healthy physically and mentally.

The Nationality holder of all countries except Iran is eligible to apply.

The applicant who holds a master’s degree can also apply for this scholarship, but he/she should not be more than 35 years old.

You must have a high score on TOEFL or IELTS test if your native language is not English.

• Birth certificate
• National ID card (personal ID number)
• Passport size photos (6 pieces)
• Medical certificate
• Research proposal
• Language certificate: IELTS or TOEFL or academic English exam from previous university if available. If not, the language test can be taken after admission.
• 2 Recommendation letters from professors/assistants
• Certificate of enrollment at the current university to continue studies in master’s degree or doctoral level
• Certificate of financial guarantee

Once you submit your application, your personal information will be immediately sent to Yazd University. Please note that after you submit your application, you will not be able to review or update any of the information.
