The AUC Yousriya Loza Sawiris Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to top-notch female high school graduates from Egypt who cannot afford to attend college.
If you are a female high school graduate from Egypt who has achieved academic excellence but cannot afford to attend college, then this scholarship is designed for you. The AUC Yousriya Loza Sawiris Scholarship seeks to provide top-notch students with financial assistance in order to help them succeed.
The AUC Yousriya Loza Sawiris Scholarship is awarded to full-time students through the Office of Financial Aid.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credits) in an AUC undergraduate degree program.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Attain the minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 at the end of the academic year preceding the award year.
- Have no more than one withdrawal per academic year, not including withdrawals due to medical conditions or family emergencies as approved by the Office of Student Affairs.
The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees and on-campus housing for up to four years (a maximum of eight semesters) at AUC.

Outstanding academic performance is defined as a minimum average of 90% or equivalent on the secondary school diploma and completion of the Egyptian university entrance exam (Tawjihi) with minimum average of 90% or equivalent.

In order to be eligible for the Yousef Jameel Scholarship, you must have completed and passed the Egyptian university entrance exam (Tawjihi). The Tawjihi is the general secondary education examination. It consists of two parts: a general one and a specialized part in one of the following majors: science, arts, or commerce.
Applicant lives away from home while attending university, and therefore is required to live on campus during the scholarship period and abide by all rules and regulations pertaining to housing and residence.
